Praise~Prayer~and Fasting
It's Time To Pray!
The Lord prepared me back in 2012 for the road I am on, since that time there have been many days of ups and downs ...feeling like I am on a roller coaster... and I can't get off! Have you ever had that feeling? Where you are on a ride and suddenly you just want off and as you pass the person who controls the ride you quietly whisper STOP this ride! I have been there many times and my life is on a ride like that...but what I am learning through this perfect storm is that the Lord's promise of His presence and that He will never leave me is all that really matters.
In 2012 the Lord gave me 3 bible verses that I would need to get me through the difficult days.
He gave them to me over the course of one weekend:
Two of those came easier for me like praising the Lord and praying (talking) with Him but the third has been much harder for me as I am learning and continually surrendering my will to His.
It was June 8-10 of 2012
On Friday night June 8th I was at Lighthouse Mission with my husband for a movie night, we saw "To save a life" As I looked to my right and saw a verse they hang all the time on a banner, it said "They said, "Put your entire trust in the Master Jesus. Then you'll live as you were meant to live - and everyone in your house included will be saved!" Acts 16:31I am using the message version because it speaks so powerfully to me. You see that night the Lord planted that verse deeply in my heart for those I love.
On Saturday night June 9th I went to a women's ministry at Living word Church called "Deeper".
The message was from 2 Chronicles 20: 1-23 the verses 12,15-17, 21-22 were especially speaking to me.
12 O our God, won't you stop them? We are powerless against this mighty army that is about to attack us. We do not know what to do, but we are looking to you for help."
15 He said, "Listen, King Jehoshaphat! Listen, all you people of Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the LORD says: Do not be afraid! Don't be discouraged by this mighty army, for the battle is not yours, but God's. 16 Tomorrow, march out against them. You will find them coming up through the ascent of Ziz at the end of the valley that opens into the wilderness of Jeruel. 17 But you will not even need to fight. Take your positions; then stand still and watch the LORD's victory. He is with you, O people of Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid or discouraged. Go out there tomorrow, for the LORD is with you!"
21 After consulting the leaders of the people, the king appointed singers to walk ahead of the army, singing to the LORD and praising him for his holy splendor. This is what they sang: "Give thanks to the LORD; his faithful love endures forever!" 22 At the moment they began to sing and give praise, the LORD caused the armies of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir to start fighting among themselves.
There is Power in Praise!!
The Lord spoke deeply & clearly to me that there was a time coming that I needed to be prepared for and Praise~Prayer & Fasting was going to be the staples of my life. Here we are in November of 2014 and Oh how those 3 have been my support & help as I depend and trust the Rock which is Jesus! Only the last two have taken the longest to really commit to. Let's just say the enemy and our flesh fight relentlessly against the two.
On Sunday morning June 10th I was at Smithtown Gospel Tabernacle Church, the message was from the scriptures in Zechariah 4:6-7
Then he said to me, "This is what the LORD says to Zerubbabel: It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the LORD Almighty. 7 Nothing, not even a mighty mountain, will stand in Zerubbabel's way; it will flatten out before him! Then Zerubbabel will set the final stone of the Temple in place, and the people will shout: 'May God bless it! May God bless it!'"
There was a word spoken that said: The Lord is raising up a generation of people who love Him, who are in their prayer closet with the Lord. A generation whose heart is towards the Lord. I was so encouraged during the whole service through the worship and the message that when Pastor Zarlengo said "Anyone who wants to come down for prayer~ who may have a verse they are holding onto, believing the Lord for or anyone who may need one to be encouraged for the trial they are facing~ come down for prayer and we will pray with you and for you. Well the Holy Spirit in me leaped up before my feet could even move :)
The Lord had given me 3 verses I was now clinging to (I had no idea how much I was going to need them) But the Lord certainly did, He loves me so much ~ He was preparing me for what only He knew was coming.
When I got down to the front a man prayed with me after I shared the verses the Lord had given me that weekend, as he prayed he stopped and said "I don't normally do this but I feel led to pray the gift of faith over you."

At fist my heart skipped a beat as I pondered...... Lord what does that mean I will have to face?.....quickly my heart was filled with His peace and I knew I could trust Him No Matter What!!
Today I stand in Awe of all He is doing in my life, I will share more about that after this weekend, because He is up to something BIG! <3

Triumph Through Surrender~
Today is a day filled with much HOPE and PROMISE because of the one {Jesus} who paved the way. As I stand on His promises knowing that He is faithful and keeps His word~surrendering my all!
I am encouraged ~ strengthened~ changed.
This past month has been one of continued hard trials for me but as I press in trusting and keeping my eyes fixed on Jesus ....miraculously I am transformed, His character truly takes over and a supernatural love~ peace and strength becomes my reality :) those around me begin to respond to His gentle rebuke. In my silence and total dependance in prayer on the Lords sovereignty, He shines and I have victory! Hallelujah! :)

God's Got this!
It's been a while since I have written, so much has happened good and bad but I thank the Lord that all things are working together for my good.
I have called the last several months of my life "The perfect storm" a combination of events that to the world might seem devastating ...overwhelming and defeating! But with the Lord everything is different. Hopeful & victorious!
29 “Yes, come,” Jesus said.
So Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the strong wind and the waves, he was terrified and began to sink. “Save me, Lord!” he shouted.
31 Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed him. “You have so little faith,” Jesus said. “Why did you doubt me?”
32 When they climbed back into the boat, the wind stopped.
As I thought about Peter being called out on the water to go to Jesus, the Lord showed me how the storm I was in was nothing He could not rescue me from or restore fully. If I looked around at my circumstances the fear ...the unknown...the danger would overcome me with despair and unbelief {which is sin}and I would begin to sink, but as long as I kept my eyes and focus on Jesus taking confident steps towards Him trusting and believing Him, I would not falter or be overcome. Instead peace would be my constant companion and grace would cover me like gentle waves...that I would float upon. But if I did look down or around all I have to do is cry out to Him and He is right there to pick me up :) Amen!
The Lord is faithful to remind me daily through many different ways that He's Got this! He will never leave or forsake me!
8 It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”
7 casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you
The Lord has been so faithful to me ..that I can say with JOY that even in the Storm I can praise Him! I am thankful for these days in the Valley only because they have brought me so much closer to Jesus and I wouldn't trade one moment of His precious presence.
My prayer is that I continue to walk worthy of His calling and that He would be glorified through my life story.

It's a New Day It's a New Year!
This new year of 2014 is bringing with it new life and answered prayers.
All those days living in the valley, learning to trust the Lord and walk by faith has it's reward!
The Word of God says in,
Hebrews 11:6
And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him.
I am beginning through Christ to climb up the mountain to the mountain top, at least for a while, to be refreshed... before a new trial comes and new lessons to grow closer to my Lord are learned.
James 1:12
God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him.
I have just gotten news that a sickness has touched someone I love dearly, the treatment can be debilitating and life changing. I will approach this trial with God's grace, KNOWING that the Lord goes before me and will never leave me or forsake me.
Here are some of the verses I am holding onto, believing and trusting in:
Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
John 16:33
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
1 Peter 1:7
So that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Romans 8:28
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
With much love in Christ,
Linda
